First founded in 2009, Ishraqat Al-Khalid is a leading, innovative custom clearance, logistics and transportation firm based in Basra, southern Iraq. Before 2014, we used to hold the name Al-Murtada for Lifeguard and Logistics. During the first run of the company, we signed many contracts to provide logistics services, including agreements with donor countries, such as Japan and Italy. We also had a partnership with the United Nations. Five years later, partners changed and we decided to create a fresh entity, and that is when Ishraqat Al-Khalid General Transport and Clearance emerged. We have grown rapidly to be one of the go-to companies in clearance services for all kinds of goods, including vehicles, foods, industrial gases, wool, steel and more. Currently, we have a long-term partnership with Transafe Company (previously known as ABSASCO), which depends on our firm to run all its operations in Iraq. We own 50% of the shares of South Gulf Company in Kuwait, and we have a warehouse located in Basra, with a total storage capacity of 8000 square meters. As a leading Freight Forwarder in Iraq, we have close relations with customs and logistics companies all over the world, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, US, Europe and Asia.
